Getting plastered...

We decided a while ago that for the largest rooms, we would have the walls fully skimmed, and we would tape and fill the smaller areas.

This weekend we had to get the rooms ready for the plasterer - they really are beginning to shape up.

The main tasks were the window details - first up was special Air Tightness tape (Tescon Vana for those interested!) which seals between the frame and the wall. Because we are using ICF on the ground floor walls, we used a special primer to make sure it bonded. Then we cut the plasterboard for the reveals and set about fitting.

We also build out the sills on the living room and master bedroom windows so we can use them as seats.

Pics speak for themselves!
It's beginning to take shape, although the list of work to do doesn't grow any smaller.

Next week, the hard-landscaping starts - patios, paths and steps up to the house.
