The concrete floor goes in! What a relief

Tuesday 8th September and our floor is finally in! We've been working flat out for weeks getting ready for this moment. All the soil pipes had to be in and tested. All the dwarf walls, beams, insulation, DPM had to be in place before we could pour the concrete.

The product we chose was Lafarge Agilia Horizontal. This product is more expensive that C35 concrete, but much easier to work with, and in fact, only needs a crew of two to place it - no vibration needed, just dappling.

We contracted Excot Pumping to place the concrete - They were onsite at 0640 and ready to go by 0715. The first batch of concrete appeared at 0745 and 3 hours later, all the concrete was in place.

6am and ready to go

I have vacuumed the morning dew off, the pipe for the concrete is ready to go...

We have a concrete pump and we have concrete
